[00:00] We're Boys Club, and you're listening to the official Crypto the Game companion podcast, brought to you by Lens. For 10 days only, we'll be hitting on the biggest moments, juiciest gossip, and hottest takes from season two, Anon Island. Smash the subscribe. I don't know. This doesn't feel right. Perfect. No notes. [00:19] Okay, here we are. Day two, Crypto the Game. It's the Taylor Swift challenge today. [00:26] Taylor Swift day at Crypto the Game. Very time-consuming, very engaging challenge today. Very engaging, very tough, very... [00:36] very... [00:37] Cerebrally taxing many hours of the collective brainpower of the crypto industry spent solving a riddle today. On tonight's vote, 31 people are out. 694 people remain. There were 8,490 guesses logged total. [00:57] My team had the most amount of guesses. We did not solve it. Oh, wow. So just to give a little context for what the day looked like, noon o'clock... [01:07] You are on your computer, your crypto the game website account changes, and the challenge begins. So as a reminder, there are 10 tribes each working together at this, like each tribe within the tribe. Individual people are working together to solve challenges that happen each day. Today's challenge was a riddle. We have a guest that we're going to have on the show.

1:37-3:08

[01:37] solved the riddle. So we'll let them speak to what the that process was like and how they solved it. But I will say that the gold tribe, we went from the Rolls Royce website to Taylor Swift's discography. One of the clues was 22. And that took us down a real rabbit hole. We were in the metadata. It was [02:01] it's we're all over the map how about your team yeah absolutely so basically you get to your page and what happened was there was a reveal there's like these little orbs and there was a reveal of a orb turns and you get some symbols and some letters so i got at sign s i and then basically you're in a crazy coordination with the other people in your tribe there's about 50 people [02:31] left in your tribe at this point at noon today. And you're trying to get as many symbols as possible because you're trying to solve this puzzle. So everybody goes just absolutely crazy. My team spins up a figma. We have this crazy document that everybody's working in and trying to unlock whatever this puzzle is. And then basically underneath your orb, there's like a [02:55] the key [02:56] to solve the puzzle. So on today's episode, we're going to talk about the gameplay with someone who solved it. We're going to get into some gossip and then we'll close out with a word from Gary.

3:09-4:41

[03:09] This season's Wilbert, who is an Anon ringleader, or so they say. And we'll also highlight our post of the day. Some really, really good posts today. Very good posts. Very good posts. Before we get started, big thank you to our partner for this series, Lens. Lens. [03:26] the man of the hour lens love lens we're all on lens all day today uh you can follow voice club and crypt of the game on lens uh our ads are at voice club i'm at dina and natasha i'm at natasha and i highly recommend following me because i just looked at some of the things that i've posted and literally every single thing i've ever posted on lens has a spelling error so go check it out [03:56] You can access Lens on Orb on mobile or hey.xyz on desktop. And yeah, I spent probably eight hours on Lens today. So very familiar with the ecosystem at this point. Go check it out. [04:16] So we have a special guest logos is with us. They were one of the few people who [04:23] solved today's riddle solve today's meandering puzzle. And yeah, really excited to chat with you about your process logos. Welcome to the show. [04:33] Yeah, thanks for having me, guys. This is awesome. I remember at ETH Denver, I saw all the boys' clubs had sat around, and I was like...

4:41-6:17

[04:41] I don't know what Boys Club is, but I'm so in for whatever it is. So I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to be here. Great. I'm so happy to hear that. Okay. So I want to hear about your process today. Why don't you just like walk us through... [04:53] from start to getting to figuring out the riddle, figuring out the puzzle, entering in those keys. What was your process like? [05:01] Yeah, I mean, this was kind of a wild, wild puzzle. Like, I don't know about you guys. I've never used... [05:06] Lens before. I've never used Lens or Hay or Orb. And so this was super fun for me. It was like, I got totally immersed in like this new platform and like, I was like minting my username. I was collecting everything I could find. I was like, Oh, cool post collect, collect. I was just collecting [05:26] If you're a brand in crypto and you saw this, whatever Lens did today with Crypto the Game was sweet. Because I played an ad for four and a half hours and I had no idea I was in an ad. And it was awesome. But yeah, I mean, it was crazy. I know right off the rip, we got... [05:41] We each got a symbol that we had. I'm sure you guys got the same thing. These characters, and none of it made any sense. And so my tribe was pretty organized, so quickly we started like... [05:51] It was hectic at first. It was just [05:53] crazy everyone's spamming their symbols but then eventually we started kind of like [05:57] hey, let's list these out and see what we got. And once we started listing them out, we were like, oh, there's kind of a... [06:03] It's kind of a pattern here. And I quickly realized like, hey, like, [06:08] some of these are three, some of these are four length. At first I thought, that was the pattern. And I was like, no, that's stupid. And it's like, it corresponds to the numbers. And it was like,

6:18-7:49

[06:18] That was a shock. It was, you know, exclamation point was one. The at symbol was two. And then next thing you know, you have 22 things in a row. [06:26] that make no sense. And so it's like, all right, that's, that's not much help. And I know the whole time though, you know, Crypt of the Game Twitter was tweeting out like, they were trolling us. They were tweeting out like, I'm feeling 22 and all this stuff. And I was like, come on guys, you're, you're, you're trolling us here. But, [06:38] Yeah, pretty quickly, we realized that, oh, hey, this is... [06:43] You know, it's like you cut you cut kind of the S's out and you just have these a letter in a row. And it's next thing you know, we have 22 letters in a row, but it still makes no sense. I think that's like the worst part, because I know we were like we were like second guessing ourselves. We're like, this makes no sense. [06:58] I don't know what to do now. Like... [07:00] Did we just go down a rabbit hole for the last two hours? But something I learned last time when playing is... [07:09] you know, [07:10] Google is a powerful tool and there's so many of these like ciphered decoders out there and you can just copy it and paste it in there and... [07:18] Maybe you'll get something out of it. I know last season on the final immunity one, I'm not a cryptography riddle guy, but on the last season, I saw the final immunity one. And everyone was like, how did you know that was an SMS double tap cipher? And I was like... [07:36] I don't even know what those words mean. I don't know what SMS means. I'm too young for that. I don't know what that means. I'm assuming it's like text or something. But I just I just Google like, what does this mean? And some like decode website came, I just pasted it in. It was like,

7:49-9:20

[07:49] There's the answer. So you don't have to be smart. You can be like me and still solve these things. You just got to think outside the box sometimes. [07:57] And then that led us to like the first ever Lens post. I know we were all like scrambling like, where's the first Lens post? And then we found it and it was from Lens like, [08:07] this thing. And the, the exact phrase we got when we unscramble that it was like, [08:11] blank or the OG post blank with lens. And we totally missed the blank. I don't know about you guys. We totally just overlooked the blank at first. We were like, all right, OG post. And we were looking at all the comments and all the things. I was trying to collect it. I was like, I know I can collect on here. I was trying to collect it like multiple times and, and, and still, still didn't get anywhere. And then it was like, [08:32] oh, blank with lens. And we're like... [08:34] In the video, it said, like, what will you build with lens? And that was kind of like the... [08:39] the light bulb moment. I remember I [08:41] At first I tried build to be like the lens building profile. I would love to see how many guesses they got for build. Oh my gosh. I'm sure it was like a million. And like, I guess build like, [08:52] like capital B all caps and lowercase. Bill, Bill, Bill. [08:58] And then I went to the lens username at build and I read like I know so much about lens builder documentation. I read up and down on the lens builder page and it was all like developer tools and tips. And I mean, I could be a lens developer now probably, which is probably a good thing. I think this works. You're ready. I have a question for you. I want to understand one.

9:21-11:03

[09:21] leap that I didn't see happen with my team and I'm so curious how it happened was the Dorvac keyboard [09:29] Yeah. [09:30] solve and that felt to me very niche. I spent some time on the doorback keyboard [09:38] Wikipedia page today and my understanding is that there's the [09:41] QWERTY keyboard that we all use. [09:44] And then there was like some innovation where this guy Dovrak was like, I want to create a different type of keyboard that you can, [09:50] use with one hand. And so that seemed to be the big unlock with the code [09:55] was [09:56] translating it to the Dovrak keyboard. [09:59] Were you on top of that? What was your role in that? [10:03] Did you get around that because you used the cipher, like a Google cipher that you found? Yeah, I just Googled. I just Googled like, what does this mean? I went to like decode and you've just based it in. So you weren't Dove Rock keyboard guy. [10:16] He's working smarter, not harder. I don't know what a Dovrak is, guys. I'll be honest. You guys want to talk about the Dovrak keyboard in your tribe? [10:24] I don't want to do a rack. I got a little RGB LED keyboard. I don't know. It's all the same. Yeah. Our team was really, really into the keyboard and it led us on a path. And then for some reason, I saw some, uh, texts about how that's sometimes used in like, [10:44] Korean with Korean symbols. Yes, we got into Korea too. Yeah. So I was going down a whole rabbit hole, like looking at Korean symbols, trying to see how it might relate back to whatever the clues were. And so we went down a totally wrong rabbit hole around the Duff Rack. I mean, that's the thing with this game. Like...

11:03-12:36

[11:03] When you look back, when I think back on it, there was only like five puzzles or four puzzles that we solved. Like it wasn't that much. Yeah. But there's like for every puzzle you solve, there's 50 rabbit trails you went down. Totally. And next thing you know, you're deep in some Wikipedia page on the history of Doverac keyboards. Like that's what happens. Yeah. [11:22] So did you fall down any rabbit holes or were you like a straight shot kind of guy? You knew you were. No, it's about four and a half hours of rabbit holes over here. [11:32] Yeah, there are so many. I think the biggest one... [11:35] was... [11:37] And it was kind of stupidest one. It was making the jump from the video. Like there's a video on the first post. [11:42] That was like, what will you build with lens? And for some reason, like... [11:46] I was thinking like, oh, there's 12 words in here that might be seed phrases. I was thinking this is like Some private key hidden in here when it was really simple I just find the phrase and look that up on lens like that was the simplest one and but that that took me out man I was on that for for like two hours straight It was bad. It was bad. I had dover act like that and I'm on this video for what we build lens for like a [12:13] two hours. So it was, it was rough. It was rough. Yeah, it was rough. So after that moment, what, what happens next? You get to the first post, you get down a rabbit hole. Then where do you go from there? How do you get out of that bad trail? Well, once we get to the... [12:28] figure out like, okay, it's not a seed phrase. There's no private key. You simply just look that phrase up on lens and you'll find a user profile. That was like...

12:37-14:06

[12:37] Mental block lifted and you know, we got that like barcode looking thing. My first reaction was This is one of those things you like look at sideways, you know, I'm talking I've ever seen this before you like look at it sideways and you'll see a word So we're probably like 20 minutes. I got send it to my phone. I was just looking at my phone And I was counting them [12:58] When in reality, the most obvious explanation was the correct one. It was a barcode. Like I was like, this looks just like a barcode. [13:05] But I think there's a symbol in here. And I should have just realized it's a barcode. Man, your chakras were open for whatever, wherever you're going to go there. You're ready for it. I was open. If I was open a portal or something, like I'm here for it. I'm here for it. Like I was just manifesting it all. That's what I was doing. That's so good. Amazing. So what is the barcode takes you to what? How did you get to? You scan the barcode with some other like barcode scanner. [13:35] trying them all out. I think barcode apps spiked today. I think this today was sponsored by Lens and barcode apps. So they're probably pretty happy with all the downloads they've gotten. And then once you scan it, [13:45] It just says like a quote about a... [13:48] bonsai tree from the karate kid and and and [13:53] At that point, it's like, [13:55] Oh, it's the Karate Kid. Now, I can't take credit. Like, the simple stuff, I'm not good at. Like, I don't know why. I'm here for the portals and the weird stuff. I end up lucking out on those better.

14:08-15:48

[14:08] I was like racking my head. I was like, [14:09] "What do we do with the Banzai?" And I was looking at the Banzai meme token on Lens. - Totally, okay. - And I was pouring into that. I read that whole contract front and back, and I can't even read code. So I was like, "I don't even know what I'm doing. I don't even know what I'm doing." I read the solidity front end to back, and I was like, I did a free audit on it. I was like, "This looks unsecure. I don't know solidity or code." I'm like, "What am I doing right now?" But then eventually it kind of clicked. I was talking, and I was like, [14:37] Ponsai crypto and there's actually there's even like an NFT of owned by Mr. Miyagi out there as well. And when did you realize you put all together? It's like, oh, [14:45] The answer is just Mr. Miyagi. And so we rushed and we typed that in and, [14:50] we, we held our breaths. What a rush. What a rush. It was fun. It was crazy. Okay. So tomorrow, uh, there's been a tweet with a worm emoji. I think hotly anticipating a wormhole themed, uh, challenge. How confident are you feeling going into tomorrow? [15:08] Yeah, so I'm going to say extremely unconfident, but that's how I felt going in today as well. That's kind of just, I guess, what I'm going for. [15:15] I've never used wormhole before, so I'm here to learn about it. I'm here to just, maybe after this, I'm going to go just like, [15:22] start swapping like you're going to be an expert you're going to be bridging all over the place i'm going to be reading that code let me tell you i'm going to be reading that code nice so yeah i'm here for it i think i'm gonna you know [15:34] Before the lens, when I kind of went on, I got my lens tagged the night before and did all that stuff just to feel good. But I'm hoping I can just Google my way to the top again. Great. We'll see if that happens. I feel like the lesson here is...

15:48-17:30

[15:48] Everybody needs to just take it down a notch. [15:52] It's not quite as complicated as we're all trying to make it. And that feels like the lesson. I mean, all 700 people did that same thing today where we whipped ourselves into a frenzy about it. And I think for me tomorrow, I'm just going to go in with clean eyes, fresh eyes. The path of least resistance is probably the most likely. [16:10] That's what I'm going to just open your heart to be defined. Just go just manifest that win. That's what you got to do. Big time. Big time. You have Google by your side. Yeah, that's what um so this season I'm playing. [16:21] I'm playing as an anon. So I'm anonymous. I'm on a tribe out there, and I am a player. Which one? [16:29] That's a great question. Are there multiple anons I have? [16:32] That's a great question. Wow. Wow. But the tribe I'm on, my tribe, is like super good. They're super organized and super like logical and all that. So I'm just kind of like sitting back and I'm like, nice. You guys do the logic stuff. I'm just going to be. [16:47] kind of going on my rabbit trails over here and hopefully they work out like they did today. So I think that's kind of the strat like I am definitely not the brightest guy out there. I am not the brightest mind in crypto, but I have a computer. [16:57] I have a keyboard. I don't know what type it is. I think it's QWERTY. And I got internet connection. I think with those things, I mean, you're set. I love it. I love it. Well, we're rooting for you big time and love to hear that a simple Google. [17:10] Simple Google search got us here. Totally. Yeah. Well, we're all going to be logging some hours on wormhole tomorrow. Logos, thank you so much for coming on, telling us your story. And best of luck on the rest of the game. We'll see you at the game. Absolutely. Hey, I'll see you guys out there. Just don't blindside me, okay? Let's, you know. All right. Thanks. See ya.

17:33-18:54

[17:33] So I want to get into some hot goss. Hot goss. [17:37] Yeah, I have one. [17:38] Tell me. Okay. So there was this whole thing about 22, 22, 22, 22, Taylor Swift. Is it Taylor Swift? We don't know. No idea. At one point, our tribe was like, oh, let's look up the 22nd Lens profile to be registered. That got us to this guy. And we're all sharing his, this poor man's profile in our chat. He was just a guy. He used to work at Lens and now he works at Polygon. And he's like, oh, I'm sorry. [18:03] We were sharing his photo, his photo, everything about him. And everyone was like, "This is going to be the thing that unlocks the next clue." [18:11] This is it. We found it. It's this man, David [18:15] S is, I'm not gonna say his last name because he's gone through enough today, honestly. And at one point, someone in our chat said, [18:23] That someone... [18:24] showed up at this man's office today. [18:28] no to get no no and this guy was not it was a total rabbit hole it was a red herring he had nothing to do with the puzzle he had nothing he had no clues and he has someone showing up at his office door and he and that's you know stalking at that point and not good so illegal don't do that if you're listening don't go there i love how crypto the game's official twitter was like please

18:58-20:31

[18:58] It's not anything to do with the game [19:00] any goss for you i do have some yeah it's more about strategy okay for the game moving forward one person from my tribe said interesting game theory the fair value of crypto the game id nft aka a vote is 0.1 since the pot is 80 there could be an arbitrage opportunity if the value of these [19:30] tribe can amass 401 nfts then they could guarantee that they will have the votes to win in the end if they drop to 0.05 and everyone was willing to sell it cost 20 eth to get 400 nfts so people are sort of gaming out a scenario where if the marketplace allows for [19:49] these to go much lower, that then people do basically a party bid. [19:55] And... [19:56] Just hostile takeover the game basically crazy, right? [20:01] Crazy. Someone said, "Theoretically could use Party.app to fund buying a bunch, probably premature for something like that, and would require capital, but the game theory is def-interesting. Kind of funny that you can buy into day three for 70% of the mint price." So people are gaming some stuff out in my chat, and it's... [20:24] It's wild. You know, that's one thing that I can always count on crypto people to do is to just get

20:31-22:02

[20:31] Way too creative with money. [20:34] Way too creative. [20:39] *music* [20:44] Oh my gosh. Okay. So this next segment is a little tiny segment that we may continue to do. We may not. But if you are trying to be a cabal leader, if you are working to be a cabal leader, we want to give you an opportunity to speak to your people. So we have a message here from... [21:02] Gary? [21:03] who is trying to be the Wilbert of this season. So Gary sent us in a little voice note. [21:09] I would say pitching their case. And if you want to do the same, you know my telegram. At Natasha G. Hoskins. [21:16] Send it through. [21:18] Kabalians. [21:20] Caballeros. Cabal winners. Cabal so harders this is, Gary. [21:28] AKA the representative for Gary, AKA Gary's Cabal, Gary's Secret Cabal. This is the [21:37] Cabal this cabal is gonna win crypto the game and if you Fade this cabal it will be at your own peril Wilbert controlled the game last season and Gary has studied Wilbert everyone knows Wilbert won Wilbert [21:55] Dictated who won Wilbert is the Geppetto the puppeteer, but this year

22:02-23:34

[22:02] There's a new puppeteer and his name, its name is Gary. [22:08] Garry's. [22:10] The one who controls the spice. Gary controls the universe. Gary's cabal [22:16] is going to win Crypto the game. Gary is puppeteering this movement. I'm just a representative of Gary's cabal, or am I? [22:25] You may see screenshots of different representatives of the Gabal and believe all of them, but also don't believe any of them. Because everything is a PSYOP. If you're not enjoying the PSYOP, if you're not dictating the PSYOP, you are the PSYOP. [22:43] There is only one cabal. [22:47] It's Gary's. [22:48] So that's Gary. So spooky. [22:51] Post of the day. [22:52] Post of the day. I think this one's my favorite one. It's from Riley Beans on Orb. [22:59] and really sums up how I felt about the day. It's the photo of the little cat screaming, a little kitten screaming. And it says another clue, please, with the two fingers pointing. And I think why I love this one so much was that that's, that was exactly my mental state all day today. So Riley really nailed it with that one. The second post here, 725 people times [23:29] power spent on figuring out what August Dvorak has to do with Taylor Swift.

23:34-24:13

[23:34] this is also me. [23:37] He's like, August Borac is the keyboard guy. And he's like an, [23:41] 1890s like he's like that type of guy and yeah just trying to find the dotted line there between him and teller swift [23:49] It's so good. Something. The last post of the day here. [23:53] on Twitter. [23:54] my two brain cells trying to figure out this clue. And it's like a girl with like math symbols covering her head. And that was me. Although talking to logos now, I'm like, I just got to just Google it. [24:06] Yeah, we just got to ease up and hit Google hard. Totally. Okay, we'll be back tomorrow. Thanks for listening. Thanks for listening.
