[00:00] We're Boys Club, and you're listening to the official Crypto the Game companion podcast, brought to you by Lens. For 10 days only, we'll be hitting on the biggest moments, juiciest gossip, and hottest takes from season two, Anon Island. Smash the subscribe. I don't know. It doesn't feel right. Perfect. No notes. [00:19] Night seven. Here we are. Dina, RIP, rest in power. Yeah, I took one tonight. I'm done. This is a devastating result. I think it's fair to say this is the red wedding. [00:34] episode of Crypto the Game. 100%. [00:38] We're trying to do the math, but I think there was over 25 votes that came in at the last 33. [00:44] 33 votes that came in in the last minute of voting so there was a lot of late in the game sniping a few teams mine included tried an abstinence strategy and that did not pay off because of all the chaos that we saw in the last minute there was clearly coordination i was a victim we're going to talk to david phelps about that in the interview section of this podcast um [01:14] So Sky Tribe won my old tribe, proud of them, won immunity today with the brick challenge. So they did not have to vote anybody off. The rest of the four tribes had to vote 25 people off each. [01:29] 123 people went home tonight. Only 239 people remain in the game. The challenge today was called Po-App Breaker. More on that later in the episode. But first...

I'm actually Williamsburg. [02:59] I'm outside Natasha's home, actually. No, literally, you look like you're right outside my apartment. I know. I'm at the Grand Ave. Okay. So I don't think I'm near you. Yeah. Okay. We love a pod interview on the go. That's right. That's right. David Paul's reporting here live from Williamsburg. We're on the scene. Crypt of the game. We have some eyewitnesses here. Okay.

3:24-4:59

[03:24] Let's get into it because I'm pissed at you specifically. So we need to hash this out. [03:29] You would have died anyway. I'm so sorry to say that you would be dead anyway. I want to just lay the groundwork here and then we can debate whether or not that's true. I don't think that's true. [03:39] So true. David and I are together in the Sun tribe and [03:45] We're together. We're together. No longer. Tenses, tenses. And, uh... [03:52] for the past three hours, [03:54] David has been advocating for an abstinence strategy, a no vote strategy. One thing I'm known for is my virginity. And I do want to say I was pushing back. [04:10] the whole evening and afternoon. I was like, I don't think this is a good idea. It's going to cause last minute chaos. [04:16] Correct. And that is exactly... [04:18] What... [04:19] happened. [04:20] With many less than would have been if we hadn't done it. [04:23] Can I just go on record? I'm going to go on record and tell you that I think abstaining from voting is so stupid. [04:28] And I think that you [04:31] You're just putting off the inevitable. The merge is coming. You're not going to, those numbers are not going to hold you through the merge. No, no, but, but, but, okay. So here's the math. [04:41] Can I do math? [04:42] Math is... [04:43] You want there to be a minimum elimination threshold of two votes. [04:48] In other words, everybody should be able to have to have two votes on them to die, because then if someone gets one vote on them, the rest of the team can coordinate to protect that person. They can say, look, that person got one. We can still save them. We're going to put two.

4:59-6:32

[04:59] on everyone else, right? That wasn't possible with the numbers tonight. [05:03] The way that the numbers shook out, there were 60 people, 25 people had to die. [05:07] That means 35 people are voting for 25 people. If you get one vote, no matter what, you're dead. No one can save you. [05:13] So doing anything that antagonizes anyone else [05:16] is just risking retaliation for no reason because they can get you. If you keep everyone together, you're keeping them alive for the immunity challenge tomorrow, so you have a better chance of winning that. [05:25] And you'll have a stronger group overall. You're building trust so that you can all build, you know, like help each other over the other teams ultimately. [05:33] and it puts you in a good position. [05:34] Like when you do have to take each other out, then you can do it with a minimum threshold of two and then you can actually coordinate You can have alliances that work. There was no way that there's any coordination that was possible tonight. It would have saved anyone Okay, well, I want to push back on that and say that there were 13 people who did not participate in they deserve to die So surely we could have just stacked all of our votes onto those 13 people, which is what I was advocating for many times 25 top 25 still would have died and [06:03] So any stray vote that went to anyone else, [06:06] still would have killed them. So, you know, you're counting on people to like, [06:10] have given that vote over [06:12] instead of to you. But no one did that. No one would give their vote over instead of to you. Either they were going to give their vote over or not vote at all. [06:19] Like if they're going to vote on you, Dina, it's because they were going to vote on you tonight. I'm sorry. I don't know who it was. We'll find them. [06:25] We'll get them. What if it was David? I don't stand for my friends to be hurt. Why would I do that? He was my only friend in the entire game.

6:34-8:13

[06:34] I have no friends left. How did you not? That's what doesn't make sense to me. That's kind of bizarre to me. I mean... [06:41] I also think I want to be truthful in what I do, and I want to be non-antagonistic in what I do. I think that's a good strategy for the game. [06:49] But for life, I can sleep at night. But I was shocked. I mean, yeah, I don't know. It feels like, you know, as soon as you speak up in any capacity in this game, people come after you, right? Totally. I was like, I thought you were dead man walking. I was like, he's sticking his neck out too much. Okay. So what's... [07:07] You're clearly a genius at this game, a savant at Crypt of the Game. What's your strategy moving forward? We've had no immunity challenges, and I haven't figured out a single clue. I don't know what you're talking about. The reason to kill me is not because I'm a leader and a savant. The reason to kill me is I'm totally incompetent, and I've done nothing to advance this game. Someone was on your team, and they were like, you know what? This guy's an idiot. This fucking idiot who's advocating for abstaining. I'm going to take him to the very end. This guy's a moron. We definitely want him around. [07:37] - This guy's not a threat. - Oh my gosh. - He's way too stupid. - This is my problem with abstaining. And I get your math situation, whatever, but my-- [07:47] issue with it is you, I thought what you were going to come in with on your defense was to say, you want as many numbers who can, you can pull into your Alliance when you go into an individual game, because that's a classic survivor strategy is like, you're trying to win as many challenges so that there's nine people on blue tribe when there's only six people on whatever tribe. And

8:17-9:48

[08:17] So that's what I thought you were going to say. And that makes sense to me. And I get your math strategy. But for me, I just think in the spirit of the game... [08:26] Yeah, I'm just bloodthirsty. What you should do is you should make sure your team, you know, next time never wins an immunity challenge. Because when they win an immunity challenge, [08:35] then no one dies and that's against the spirit of the game. So, you know, okay. Okay. So what's your, what's your strategy moving forward? Do you want to go all the way? Do you, are you one of the whales? [08:47] I'm not one of the whales. I actually, I bought in, I shouldn't admit this, I bought in on secondary. So I'm like a, I'm the opposite of a whale. I pay even less than anyone else. Nice. Perfect. [09:01] Yeah. [09:01] Yeah, I am worried about the whale thing. I don't really know how that plays out. It'll be interesting to see. [09:09] I'm a contest guy. I don't know. We do contest joke rates. This is a contest. I'm like, it's voting. I don't know. I love the game. [09:16] Was this an expensed... [09:19] Expense? I believe it will be expensed. Yeah. I'm here for research. [09:24] Totally. It's a totally justifiable. If Botox is a tax write off for me, then crypto the game is it can be an approved. Don't let don't let my co-founder know about the Botox treatments I've been getting. If we could not bring that up, that would be great. Okay, David. Well, I am begrudgingly rooting for you. I do want to see I do want to see a nice guy win. So I hope that it.

9:48-11:20

[09:48] It goes your way, but also if you do go down tomorrow, you [09:53] There'll be... [09:54] They'll be a small. [09:56] part of it. Sean Brody will be having a chat. [10:00] we're going to find a picky outfina, don't worry we're going to get them, I'm on the case [10:07] Great. Okay. David Fells, Private Eye, reporting for Beauty Williamsburg, New York. Thanks for being on the scene of the crime. I'll see you Tuesday at Barry's. [10:17] I'll see you Tuesday at Perry's. That's right, we've got leg day. Bye. [10:22] okay some hot goss here we go side cabals are picking up steam i'm hearing clearly picking up i mean clearly picking up steam because [10:36] of [10:36] what was clearly coordinated voting, coordinated last minute voting on tonight's vote. I was added to a side cabal this evening. At some point, it was all in a different language, but all different languages. So it wasn't like one consistent language. And they were sending instructions to the group. And it was like, Oh, it's like a cool secretive cabal. And at one point, they sent me instruction for someone to vote for. [11:01] Uh, and I didn't end up actually casting a vote because I was logged out trying to look at my name. I know. I know. You didn't even fire off a shot. I didn't fire a single shot because I was, I was logged out and I was trying to see if I was safe. Who were they trying to get you to vote off? I feel like you should say. They were trying to get me to vote off just a doxxed person. So...

11:20-13:11

[11:20] They were just, it was just like a normal person. [11:23] It wasn't like the leader or anything like that. [11:25] okay okay okay but do you want to share the name i don't want to share the name no okay but i will share that i think this cabal is fucking useless because if you're in a cabal you expect to get part of it is like the protection you know 100 yeah it's like the mafia that's the mafia exactly go do this hit because you're gonna pay for my kids private school exactly i scratch your back you scratch mine so i at this point i'm just i know this is the problem none of the cabals i feel like have any power at this point i'm sorry if you're part of a cabal and you have some power [11:55] I have been getting some... [11:57] private messages from someone in another language and sending voice memos that they want to include in podcast and I straight up told them you need to [12:04] I don't speak another language. Like if you want this included in the podcast, you need to send a note that's in English so that I, or that's attempted English, like even just throw it through Google translate. Like if you don't speak English, that's totally fine. But like, we've got to find a way here. And so I've not included those messages in here because we don't know. I don't know. I think also another maybe qualifier for a cabal leader to be included on this podcast is that they have to show their weight in some way. They have to, they have to [12:34] with receipts that they've actually been effective at something and we're actually actually able i'm just like i see all these guys who are like oh i'm like i have all this power i'm like a ball leader i'm like you're not [12:49] You have a telegram chat. Let's be honest about it. So I think if someone's willing to show us some receipts that they were actually able to wield some power and be effective, great. Send me DMs are open. Slide on in. Until then, I think, honestly, they're all just a joke. It's just pick me energy. Yeah, totally. Okay. So.

13:12-14:43

[13:12] Late in the game, snipes, people were voted off, quote, on accident. I don't know what that means. I actually have a funny story from mine. So the Sun tribe, we talked to David Phelps, so you all know, had an abstinence strategy going into the evening. Had a no vote strategy. I was against it the whole time. But that was sort of the party line in the wider group chat. And then... [13:35] Sort of we're going through the hour and we're sort of all watching and seeing like what's going on. And there are a couple of people that are getting hit here and there. Like I think it was like five or six people up until like quarter... [13:48] quarter to so there was like clearly some people who were coming in and who are voting [13:53] And this started to freak out the main chat. And everyone was like, oh, well, I thought we weren't voting. And everyone starts panicking. As expected. You could... Of course. [14:04] So... [14:05] uh, [14:06] So then paranoia. [14:08] starts going through the roof. Rampant. [14:11] someone's like, I think that there's a side cabal. [14:15] I want to be in the side cabal. You need to let me into the side cabal. Like begging. Begging. And then they said, if you don't let me into the side cabal in the next 30 seconds, I'm going to basically take this other person out. A random bystander. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hostage? I know. A hostage strategy? Hostage strategy. That's a crazy move. But like, kind of smart. Kind of smart. But like, also, none of us like, they were just like. Everybody's like, I'm not, not me, not me, not me.

14:45-16:12

[14:45] They didn't end up getting into the cabal. I actually don't. I should check to see if the hostage ended up getting hit or not. But it was such a funny strategy to me. And I was like, this poor person just held a gunpoint. Totally. What can you do? Nothing. Nothing. Nothing at that point. Wow, that's really funny. Okay, I want to get into the game today. The game to win immunity was Poep Breaker. So essentially the... [15:10] I don't even know how to explain it, but like... It's bricklayer. I think folks will understand that as an arcade game. [15:16] Okay. Okay. And what I heard from my sources is that it was much more of a game of tenacity and time than really skill because it was quite easy to play. And so it was just a matter of, am I going to sit on a beautiful Sunday afternoon all day and play with my computer to get a high score? The max score you could get was 400. And basically you had to just commit to the bit, essentially. POAP, so smart because people spent six hours just straight eyeball layer at their [15:46] for six hours, which is incredible. So I'm still in all my chats. Thank you to my teams for keeping me in it for the Intel, even though I did threaten you last night, but Ted, who is also voted out, but still just like locked in guy around it. Cause she's so obsessed with crypto. The game is in there and she starts running the numbers. And by five 30, she's like, nobody needs to keep playing. It's a time game. Now it's a clock game. Unless you are already in the middle of a game

16:16-17:53

[16:16] Definitely going to win. But the team's like, [16:18] We got to keep going. We got to keep going. There becomes, it becomes a little tense. Some people come in and they're like, Hey, I've been off for a while, but I got this pretty good score. Like, am I good? And someone else responds and is like, that's lazy. Like you need to get started right now. And they're like, okay, I'll start right now. And Ted's like, it doesn't really matter. Like if you're starting from zero right now and it's like tense in there. And I was drinking margarita thinking sometimes it's nice to be on the other end. I was like, no problem. [16:48] that she did the math but also like just that's so funny to me it's so funny so some funny chats that were going on that i just pulled to read here oh before i get into that another strategy was basically copying pasting a code into some sort of like cheater score but it didn't work like all the intel i got from other teams that were doing that the teams didn't win so i don't know that also i'm just like just play the game just play just play just play the game i totally [17:18] people were giving each other tips. They were saying, you know, you gotta shoot horizontal, not vertical, this is how you aim, da da da da da. At the very end, when it was like coming down to the final minutes, it was like, you've gotta get as many as you can possibly get to get to the next level. And people were, guy with a sign, [17:37] shoot straight up and then people were like higher higher higher up to the sky let's fucking go higher higher and I was like this is so dumb but you had a mute you guys had immunity according to Ted's calculations so they were still unsure they were just like other because the one caveat to that would have been that there are

17:53-19:32

[17:53] many active games happening in other teams that aren't reflected in the final average okay i see so people were pushing themselves what was your score in the end i had a great score i like three i had oscar do it oscar is dina's son so i did he love it he loved it he was totally locked in guy and was having such a great time and he could have done it all day i could have [18:14] Like I could have done multiple ones. He was having the time of his life. And so I got a great score and it wasn't, you should have talked about that. I think we're still recording. So you could, Oh, great, great, great, great. Okay. We just got a tip in via Twitter. I suppose it's a public tweet. So not really tip, but I just saw this on the timeline. Um, okay. [18:35] It's from at Joshua SL N seven. This I am. Nick MF puts a depressing 51 on poet breaker, then votes with one 87. And a few minutes later, I'm going to, [18:46] A few minutes later sends me his NFT, making it look like I'm in the tribe twice. Then my actual ID gets knocked off in the last 30 seconds. New Crypt of the Game tactic discovered, careful out there. [18:58] So this seems like it's it's a strategy to get people voted off because it looks like they are holding multiple NFTs. So you basically whoever [19:08] that person was in seven was holding multiple nfts transferred some of their extra nfts to other to at least one other wallet to make it look like that individual was holding two player ids so that [19:21] he wouldn't get his NFT back. No, he wouldn't. He's like burning it. I see. Which is kind of strange, but if I guess you have a vendetta for what someone, or you have enough NFTs that you can burn them like that, and you want to make sure that you get, it's,

19:32-21:16

[19:32] you stay in the game, then... [19:34] interesting wow but if there's another way to i might be wrong about that so if there's another way to look at it please write us and we will report on it okay post of the day post of the day post of the day this is not a social media post but it was a post technically it came into message [19:58] Message me. [19:59] saying that they were canceling a [20:02] Yoga class, a Pilates class, a fitness class today. [20:05] on a beautiful sunday afternoon to stay home and play the co-op breaker game so funny i responded and said whatever the opposite of protecting your pieces is this letting your piece go okay i saw this hey.xyz post that i really like it's at paris she says next at crypto the game is sponsored by google sheets which honestly i saw that one too totally checks out i cannot tell you how many [20:35] I am in was in was sent and I end I was finally the person who was like what sheet are we talking about like there's too many too many sheets also I have a hot tip for for folks um [20:47] I had at one point because I received some instruction from the cabal leader to take out this particular person. And I had like Apple F in the sheet and was searching for their number. And I had forgotten that I had done that and I had left it highlighted. And so then someone in the chat is like, hey, I see that this number is being highlighted. And I'm like, oh, such an idiot. So just for all the listeners out there, if you have something highlighted, other people can see that as highlighted. So just keep that in mind.

21:17-21:24

[21:17] Wisdom. Some wisdom here. Okay, I'll see you tomorrow night. See you tomorrow. [21:20] *music*
